Opened right after our Hamilton East location! Bird On A Wire Ormiston Town Centre brings our Bird feasts to the east of Auckland. This coop boasts open space, chicken walls and neon. A family friendly space for all the flock to enjoy.

Our Story

Bird On A Wire was started in 2012 by a group of friends who shared a simple goal - to feed the world better food. From humble beginnings in an old fish and chip shop on Aucklands Ponsonby Road, to multiple sites across

New Zealand, Bird is now on track to become everyone's favourite local chicken restaurant. 

Our epic menu includes a wide range of salads, mouth-watering burgers, fried chicken, and more. Whether you're after a healthy lunch or a guilty pleasure, we've got you covered. 

Ponsonby central

From humble beginnings in an old fish and chip shop on Ponsonby Road, our first full service restaurant located in opened its doors in 2012. Located in the heart of Ponsonby, Bird Ponsonby Central boasts a large dining area as well as an intimate café out front. With its funky, industrial chic interior this coop is a must visit!
